About Dr. Dena Bachman
Dr. Dena Bachman started her career in the Chicagoland area, practicing at Family Vision Care in LaGrange, IL. In March 2002, she decided to fulfill her dream of practicing in her hometown and opened Southwestern Eye Care in Brighton, Illinois. She currently resides in the area with her family and is active in her church and community.
Her Educational Background
Dr. Bachman graduated from Southwestern High School in 1985. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989. In 1991, Dr. Bachman was awarded her Bachelor of Visual Sciences (BSVS) and became a Doctor of Optometry by graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1993. She received many academic and clinical excellence awards during her time at the Illinois College of Optometry.

Her Associations
Dr. Bachman is a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Society for Prevention of Blindness, Illinois Optometric Association, Southwestern Illinois Optometric Society, and Infant SEE. She has served as a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and Optometric Extension Program. Dr. Bachman has 30 years of experience in primary eye care of both children and adults.
Our Community
We genuinely enjoy being a part of the Brighton, Illinois community. Our company supports many community programs and school athletics, and we like the old-fashioned hometown doctor approach. We have a professional yet relaxed atmosphere, and we care about every aspect of the patient. Our team also takes care of every patient and not just their eyes.
